Web Cam suggestions

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all doing well.  I have just returned from a conference on teaching American History and now want to put into motion some of the things I learned at Summercore.  To start I have decided I need a webcam with a built in mic so that I can use skype and voice thread.  Does anyone have any advice on a particular one or price range for a PC laptop or desktop for that matter?

3 things to apply and 3 new sites to use

Well, I can hardly narrow down what I have learned to only 3 things and 3 sites, but here goes…3 site- ask500people.com would be great for survey, favoritepoem.com would be great for poetry month, and worldmapper.com will be excellent for basically all subjects. I wll definitely share parts of my delicious account with my faculty and students families, create social networkingsites  and digital media repositories with my kids.  I alreadycan see it.  Ours project will be on the elections and our school and neioghborhood community using maps, surveys and video!…Is that too much?

paperless, huh?

SO I am sitting here typing stuff and jotting all my ideas on paper and so I am laughing about how at the fact that I am writing my ideas on paper and attempting to move away from the paper.

So many ideas, so little time

I am looking to make my classroom as paperless as possible and this is the ultimate spring board.  For starters I would like to have blogging become a regular part of my Language Arts program.  Although the sky is the limit, I specifically first though about using it for our author study unit on Patricia Polacco, and for my poetry unit.  A big concern right now of mine is the speed of my childrens typing.  More to come.
